Brian R. Booth, P. Geo.
President, CEO and Executive Director
Brian brings more than 30 years of experience in mineral exploration throughout Canada, Europe and southeast Asia. Brian was previously CEO and Board Member of Pembrook Copper Corp., where he developed the copper resource at Pecoy in Peru. He also served as the CEO, President and Director of Lake Shore Gold Corp., where he completed an acquisition of the Bell Creek mine and mill and led the team that discovered the Timmins West, Thunder Creek and Bell Creek deep deposits. Brian began his career as a geologist on the Casa Berardi gold discoveries in Quebec. He opened Inco's exploration office in Val d'Or, Quebec and is credited with the discovery of the Douay West gold deposit in 1990 and was subsequently appointed to the board of Societe D'Exploration Miniere Vior Inc. In 1994, as Inco's Manager Exploration, Eastern North America, he conducted the preliminary assessment of the Voisey's Bay Ni-Cu-Co discovery. Brian later managed Inco's exploration office in Jakarta and was involved, through a JV with Highlands Gold, in the discovery of the Beutong copper porphyry in Sumatra. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from McGill University and is also a member of the Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. Brian is also a director of SSR Mining Inc. and GFG Resources Inc.
Angela A Betteridge
Ms. Betteridge has over 20 years of experience in a broad range of industries including corporate secretarial, investor relations and corporate communications for junior and senior natural resource companies. Her skills include diamond branding, marketing and retailing, and wealth management including experience with IIDV - Part of De Beers Group, Pembrook Copper, Indicator Minerals, Dia Met Minerals, BHP and RBC Dominion Securities.
Angela is a member of The Chartered Governance Institute of Canada, Director and 1st Vice Chair of the Canadian Jewellers Association and a GIA Graduate Gemologist.
Paul Johnston, PhD., P.Geo.
Vice President, Exploration
Dr. Johnston has worked in the exploration and mining industry for 30 years, devoting much of his career to exploration and development of porphyry copper and epithermal gold deposits. Most recently, he was Chief Geologist for Globetrotters Resource Group Inc. focused on generating and advancing copper and gold prospects in Peru. He began his career as a mine geologist at the Hemlo gold deposit with Noranda. In 1996, he joined the exploration group at Teck Resources and accumulated extensive international experience in early to advanced stage exploration through a variety of technical and management roles in Southeast Asia, Australia, North America, and South America, including Regional Chief Geoscientist for South America. Paul is a Professional Geoscientist registered in British Columbia and holds a PhD from Queen’s University. He is currently an independent director of Nicola Mining Inc.
Duane Lo, CPA (CA)
Duane is a financial executive in the mining industry with 20 years of experience in financing, business development, management and administration of mining operations and development projects in multiple jurisdictions including USA, Africa, Brazil, Mongolia. Currently, Duane is the Chief Financial Officer of Ridgeline Minerals Corp., Entrée Resources Ltd and recently was the CFO of Mason Resources Corp, which was sold to Hudbay Minerals. He also worked for Luna Gold, First Quantum, and Deloitte. Duane holds a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CA) designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
General Manager, Peru Operations
Manuel has over 36 years of experience in the mining and oil and gas industry. He started working as a Mining Exploration Geologist and Senior Geologist with the Peruvian Geological Survey. Subsequently, he spent 14 years working in the Petroleum Industry in Peru as a Senior Exploration and Production Geologist for all Peruvian oil operations and later as a consultant. Over the last 17 years, he has been involved in the mining industry as a Chief Geologist for Cominco Peru, Chief Geologist of the Andes Exploration Group in South America for Teck Cominco and recently as a Principal Geologist of the Andes Exploration Group for Teck. He has worked on a diverse group of projects that includes Porphyries, Epithermals, CRD-Skarns, MVT’s, VMS’s, Sedex, Orogenics and IOCG’s, etc. He was responsible for the Zafranal Cu-Au porphyry discovery in Southern Peru for Teck. During the past 6 years, he has been involved in project generation, strategic planning, evaluations and recommendations for Teck throughout South America (Peru, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Colombia). Manuel is currently the Vice President, Exploration for GlobeTrotters Resource Group Inc.
Country Manager, Peru
Mr. Labó is a mineral economist with over 20 years industry experience in Peru, Latin America, and Africa. He is currently mining partner at LQG Energy and Mining Consulting, General Manager of LQG Ambiental and Executive Director of the Australia Peru Chamber of Commerce. He has held several high-level positions in the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru including Vice Minister of Mines, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Mines as well as Director of Mining Promotion and Development where he successfully promoted responsible mining exploration and development investment in the country. In the private sector, he held several senior positions at Rio Tinto, Roche, Phelps Dodge and Grupo Apoyo, provided strategic advisory and consultancy services to several international mining companies and institutions, and was a board member of several private and state-owned mining and energy companies. He also lectures, publishes and is an opinion leader related to the mining industry. Mr. Labó is a Peruvian Chartered Economist from Universidad del Pacifico (Peru), with an MSc. in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines (US), an LLM in Mineral Law and Policy from CEPMLP, University of Dundee (Scotland, UK) and an MBA from Adolfo Ibañez School of Management (Chile and US).
